Luckily, I booked this place, because the reception was open very late, with a friendly guy there to greet me and check me in! Flight was delayed 6 hours (Thanks, RyanAir) and I arrived at the airport at 02:30! There were taxis available (thank God!) at BLQ at that hour! Arrived at the hotel at 03:00. The guy was kind and caring, and personable, and the check-in was fast and easy. I will definitely stay there again. Also, a 6 minute walk to Bologna Centrale train station! Very cute hotel - loved the eclectic decor.

Nice location, a short walk from Bologna Centrale, on a reasonably quiet street. Right next door is what is judged likely the best restaurant in Bologna (Trattoria di via Serra), but you need to make reservations long in advance, so I missed that. Very nice breakfast buffet: eggs, bacon, sausages, breads, toaster, pastries, cereal, juices (but I wish they had fresh OJ). Coffee drinks to order. Easy walk to the tourist shrines and restaurant district.

The hotel was like a quiet alcove in the city, really close to the train station and not too far away from the city centre. Everything was tidy, the staff was attentive and friendly. It was the first time for me to not have any major issues with my room. Breakfasts were nice, you could take your time eating (and I could get coffee with soy milk!) We also rented bikes there, which were decent, but I didn't see myself making long trips on those. I especially loved returning after a long day, grabbing a vegan gelato from the gelateria around the corner and enjoy the late evening in front of the hotel. I had a good impression of Il Guercino, but my stay surpassed my expectations!

A lovely, friendly hotel.great location behind the station and 5 -10 mins walk to the centre of town. The breakfast was fab and the staff so friendly, it made a positive start to the day. 2nd floor room was very well equipped with a view of the courtyard and quiet. Great value for a lovely stay.

The family room was spacious, very well equipped hotel. We used the bikes and cycled around the town, perfect! The hotel was in a good position for the train station to go to the airport, it was also located approx 15 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops. The hotel was small but beautiful, we also used the spa. This was excellent value as we paid 35 euros each for 1 hour. We used the plunge pool, the steam room and sauna. For this price, you get the exclusive use of the spa! Would defo book again!

Excellent quirky hotel with wonderful Guercino-themed decor. Good location very near station with great wine bar next door.

This hotel is located just outside the center of Bologna. The city center is however walkable from the hotel. Our room was satisfactory in size for 3 women. The breakfast served every morning was a reasonable cost and ample. There is a small bar located next to the hotel which was quite nice for a little appetizer and evening drink.

Very nice hotel with great ’flair’. Excellent breakfast and amazing staff who are all friendly and always helpful. Sound isolation (in Suite) is better than usual in small Italian hotels. Rooms and public areas very tidy.

This hotel is 5 minutes from the Bologna Centrale. It is quirky but very comfortable with a nice reception area. It is about 20 minutes from the centre of Bologna on foot. The room for one person was ideal and came with fridge which kept your water cold
